Why not delete all spam immediately? Well, spammers use many tricks to fool "classic" spam filters. These tricks make unwanted e-mail very similar to important e-mail you never want to loose. Deleting e-mail automatically increases the risk of missing an important message. If you don’t do anything, messages in the CA Anti-Spam quarantine folder are automatically deleted from your computer after 30 days, but you can recover any messages before that time if necessary.

CA Anti-Spam can automatically send a personalized confirmation message to unknown senders. If they reply to the message, their original messages will automatically be moved to your Inbox and they will be added to the white list of approved senders. This eliminates the need to review quarantined messages, and allows new senders to reach you via e-mail, even if they were previously unknown to you.
